When is HMECU upgrading its system?

The change to the new core banking system is set to occur on October 22nd, 2021. For more information about the journey to completion, visit our Journey page.

Will the branch be open during the system change?

All our branches will be closed at 4:00pm on Friday, October 22nd until Tuesday, October 26th.

Which services will be disrupted while the system change is taking place?

From October 22nd to October 25th, there will be limitations on our ATMs, in-branch banking, online and mobile banking. To help you keep track of when these services will be affected, we will send you a timeline to help you navigate the interruptions. Subscribe to our email list to receive this timeline directly in your inbox for easy reference closer to the impacted dates.

Can I use my Member Card on conversion weekend to shop?

It is recommended to have other payment methods for use between October 22nd and October 25th. We recommend you withdraw cash prior to these dates or use your credit cards for the weekend.

Can I use an ATM during the system change?

ATMs will be available during the system change. However, we recommend you withdraw some cash prior to Friday, October 22. To find an ATM near you visit https://theexchangenetwork.ca/Find-An-ATM.aspx.

Can I use my mobile app during the system change?

Our mobile app will be unavailable from 4:00pm on October 22nd to October 25th.

Can I access Online Bill Pay while the system is changing?

Online Bill Pay will be unavailable from 4:00pm on October 22nd to October 25th. Please ensure any bills due during this time are paid prior to 4:00pm on October 22nd.

Will online banking be available during the system change?

Online banking will not be available from 4:00pm on October 22nd to October 25th. Please ensure that all e-Transfers and payments due between these dates have been accepted and paid prior to October 22nd.

How should I stay informed about the progress of changes?
